CHAPTER Scholarships

Yolanda Norwood Memorial Scholarship

The Ann Sherman-Skiba Coastal Carolina United Nations Association Scholarship was created in honor of Ann Sherman-Skiba, a friend to UNCW and a member of the Board of the Coastal Carolina United Nations Association.  This merit-based scholarship is to be granted annually in the amount of $500 to support one student who is actively engaged in international topics or studies, either on the high school or university level.  Previous recipients are not eligible to apply for this scholarship. Interested students are invited to submit, by October 15, an application, essay, and (unofficial) transcript to: Amanda Boomershine, President, Coastal Carolina UNA, boomershinea@gmail.com.

Locally, we support high school and UNCW students with three scholarships awarded annually: the Ann Sherman Skiba Memorial Scholarship, the Coastal Carolina UNA Scholarship, and the Yolanda Norwood Memorial Scholarship. We also support the UNCW chapter of the Model United Nations Association (MUNA) and the UNCW chapter of the UNA. Your membership and active participation in our chapter goes a long way to helping local students!
